The School as Microcosm of Society
friday june 8 | 20.30 hrs

Schoolplein
‘Schoolyard’ is a documentary about teenagers in Amsterdam. From the distance of their balcony and throughout the year, the filmmakers observe the teenagers on a schoolyard in the city of Amsterdam. Sometimes we see an empty yard, but mostly it is full with adolescents from various backgrounds and colours. They hang out, make friends, fight and make up. Meanwhile, in voice-overs, they talk about their dreams, their friendships and the differences between them.
